How to vote safely

- Early voting for the general election has been extended. It will begin on Oct. 13 and run through Oct. 30.

To vote by mail in Texas, you must be:
- 65 years or older
- Have a disability
- Disability is defined as a sickness or physical condition that prevents a voter
- Be out of the country on election day and during early voting
- Or confined in jail, but otherwise be eligible
