To be eligible to vote, you must be:
- A citizen of the United States
- A resident of Iowa
- At least 18 years old on Election Day
NOTE: You may vote in a primary election if you are 17 years old as long as you will be 18 years old on or before the corresponding regular election. - Not convicted of a felony (and if you have, you must have had your voting rights restored)
- Not currently been judged by a court as incompetent to vote
- Not voting in any other place
